Project-oriented Approach Implementation as a Marker of European Project Culture Development at HEI: EUROPROC Results

For the first time in the university history, 170 thousand hryvnyas would be directed to implement the projects that won the pan-university faculty image improvement contest. One can regard this as a first step to transparent funds allocation practice through internal grants established at ZNU. In total, 15 applications were submitted for the contest. The first place and 40 thousand hryvnyas were given to the Faculty of Mathematics for their project “Laboratory of STEM Education”. The second place was granted to the College of Law and Economics that is going to establish a career centre SEEd (Strategy of Employment and Education). 30 thousand hryvnyas would be allocated to support professional identification of secondary school graduates of Zaporizhzhya region. The third place and 20 thousand hryvnyas were awarded to the Faculties of Law and Biology for their projects FLAG (Forum Legal Achievement Game) and OHC (Oaks the Heirs of Cossacks). Within the frames of the last project, oak plantlets descending from the legendary Zaporizhzhya Oak will be given to secondary schools of the city. The rest of the projects selected for semi-final received 10 thousand hryvnyas each for their initiatives. Based on the results of the contest, the Rector of ZNU Mykola Frolov thanked all the participants for their personal contribution to such an important issue as the university image making and announced the topic of the next competition – this time, for the best international students recruiting initiative.
