The faculty of theatrical arts was opened in ZNU in 1999 as a part of the “Social pedagogics and Psychology” Faculty, which further contributed to a deeper study and understanding of psychology, a skill required for anybody who wants to become a professional actor.

Our objectives:  To prepare highly creative specialists on educational levels: 6.020200 "Bachelor" and 7.020201 "Specialist".

Our goals and objectives: to teach students the skills and habits of an acting professional, to be active and feel the stylistic features of a performance, to be able to work in an ensemble. Learn to see through-action roles, its deeper meaning. Also, we put emphasis on how: to teach students to do their own make-up, being able to use a suit in order to create a scenic image.

Many famous actors and directors of various theatres in Zaporizhia have been invited as lecturers of basic disciplines (stage speech, singing, choreography stage movement and acting arts), artists, who have achieved success and recognition and have considerable experience, professionals, who are ready to share their knowledge with the talented youth. The graduates of the Theatrical Arts Department receive the qualification of an “Actor of a drama-theater and cinema”. The qualification allows them to work as artists of the conversational genre, puppet theater actors, and announcers on radio and television, to teach relevant disciplines in educational institutions.

The Faculty Staff

There are 14 teachers working in the department, including two professors, one PhD, three associate professors, three PhDs, six senior teachers, three teachers and three accompanists, an artistic director of educational theater and a sound engineer. The Department includes: a People’s Artist of Ukraine, four Honored Artists of Ukraine, and two Honored Art Administrators.

Lokaryeva Galina



the Doctor of Education, Professor, Head of Department

 Has been working in Zaporizhia National University since 1980..

У Graduated Ukrainian Research Institute of Pedagogy in 1986 and defended her thesis on the "Formation of aesthetic ideal of highschoolers." Has Managed the Center of Education on the Faculty of Social Pedagogics and Psychology of ZNU for 13 years.

During 2000 - 2010 – has led the Ukrainian-German project "Psychosocial rehabilitation by the means of music."

In 2004, was reading an open lecture (for 4 hours) on "The impact of music on people (based on the Ukrainian population)" in distance learning on students of the Faculty of Social Pedagogics of ZNU and students of the Magdeburg University.

In 2005 she defended her doctoral thesis on "Theoretical and methodological foundations for the use of artistic and aesthetic information in preparation of social workers for professional communication.".
Is to be noted for her scientific activity. Works on the issues of training future specialists in the field of higher education, studies artistic and aesthetic personality development, the use of art therapy (music therapy, fairy-tales therapy etc.) in the context of social and educational activities. 5 Candidate’s dissertations have been defended under her patronage. The author of over: 140 scientific publications, 2 monographs, and 16 textbooks, including 4 stamped by MES of Ukraine.

Participates in various programs on TV channels: “Zaporozhye”, “Alex”, “TV-5”.

A member of the Academic Council of Zaporizhia National University, the specialized council for doctoral and master's theses of Classic Private University of Zaporozhye; the head of a professional scientific journal "Bulletin News: teaching science."

Was awarded a certificate of achievement by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for her contribution to the process of training highly qualified specialists, her rewarding scientific and teaching work (2008, 2011); was awarded a Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine for her personal contribution in the creation of spiritual values and the development of the professional arts (2013); was awarded RSA diploma of Zaporizhia City Council (2006); and ZNU charters.

 

Korol Alexander P.

the People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor

Graduated from The National University of theatre, cinema and television of Karpenko-Kary, by the specialty "Director of the drama."

The Chairman and a jury member in various international and Ukrainian festivals (1976 - 2008).

Since1999 to 2007 - has worked as a Professor, the Dean of the Theatrical Arts Faculty of ZNU, the producer of student’s examinational stages, the producer of concerts and the "Acting" teacher.

His graduates work in theaters, on television and radio.

Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU for his hard wok and contribution on the occasion of Faculty’s 20-th anniversary.


Goncharenko Juliana V.

 

Ph.D., Associate Professorт

Graduated from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts from the Faculty of Choreography. Has worked as a dance teacher in "Aesthetic Education Complex # 66," on the “ Faculty of Theory and Methods of Socio-Cultural work” in ZNU.

Since 2004 year working as a choreography teacher on the Faculty of Theatrical Arts in ZNU.

Has completed her postgraduate studies in Zaporizhia National University on 2007. Works as the head choreographer in Zaporizhia Exemplary Fashion and Dance Studio "Snow White." Received the Grand Prix "Christmas Lights" diploma in Hungary, the First Prize winner at the IV International Festival in Bulgaria in the category: "Variety and Contemporary Choreography", "The Best-Choreographic Production," the winner of the II prize at the IV Ukrainian dance festival the "Constellation of dreams. "

Received the mayor scholarship in the “Best School Worker, who has raised winners in various creative and international competitions” category.

Defended her thesis and received the Ph.D. in Pedagogics in 2009. Has received the academic rank of an associate professor in 2012.

The Author of textbooks stamped by MES. 

Actively participates in national, regional and international scientific conferences, publishes articles in scientific journals. Does check-ups on the activity of the Faculty teachers. Manages student’s research and conducts workshops and open sessions on “Choreography”. Has established herself as the Head of the jury in both national and regional dance festivals (Kyiv – “Golden Stork, Zaporizhia – “Terpsichore”, “Heritage”). Manages students dancing productions, supervises the choreographic performance “Sweep” (2011).

Grin Liliya O.

the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Ph.D., and Associate Professor

Graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, received the qualification of the “Choirmaster and Music Teacher”. Since 1993 to 1996 has worked in the “Dumka” quire. Has been working in Zaporizhia Regional Philharmonics as the Head Choirmaster of Cossak Harmony “Zaporichzi” since 1996 and became its art director in 2002. Has received the ministry of Culture Honorary Award, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism diploma, and Zaporizhia Regional State Administration honorary award. Has worked as the senior lecturer on the acting department.

Subjects being lectured: “Vocals”, “Vocal Ensemble”, “Rudiments of Music”, “History of Fine Arts”, “The History of Music and Music Literature”.

Has completed her postgraduate studies in 2012. In 2013 she defends her thesis and received the degree of a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

Is an active participant of international, regional and national scientific conferences. The author of 15 printed works, including 2 textbooks. Does workshops on: “Vocals”, and “Vocal Ensemble” for RMO leaders and teachers of artistic and aesthetic disciplines in schools, the participants of Ukrainian scientific readings and choir leaders in Zaporizhia. Was the supervisor of an intercollegiate competition of actors and singers (2011); her subordinates have taken I, II, III places in the competition.

Is a member of national and regional competitions for children and teenagers.

Bilozoob Luydmila M.

Ph.D., Associate Professor

Graduated from the Melitopol School of Music, the Faculty of “Music and Pedagogics”. Received her second degree in Donetsk National University (the Master of Ukrainian Philology). Has done her postgraduate education in Kiev National University of Culture and Arts. Defended her thesis on the “Theory and History of Culture” 26.00.01.

Has been working as an assistant professor of acting since 2013. Is an active participant of various international, regional and national scientific conferences, a scientific speaker, who also publishes articles in scientific journals. The author of 19 scientific articles..

Is in charge of teacher’s vocational work.

Has received certificates and diplomas for taking part in various concerts and competitions. Takes part in the “Education Fair”..


Stadnichenko Nadia V.

the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Senior Lecturer.

Graduated from the National University of theatre, cinema and television of Karpenko-Kary as an “Actress of Drama Theater and Cinema”.

Has been working as a leading scene master in Zaporizhia Regional Youth Theater since 1979, in Zaporizhia “New Theater” since 2013. The winner of S. Patorzhynskiy prize, the Best Actress award, the I- degree diploma for the best female leading role at the “Good Theater” festival in Energodar.

Was awarded the title of the “Honored Artist of Ukraine” in 2004, was repeatedly awarded diplomas by Zaporizhia Regional Department of Culture, the Regional Council, the Ministry of Education diploma in 2008.

Has been working as the senior lecturer of acting since 2000. Subjects being lectured: “Acting”, “Scene it”. Many of her students became winners of various festivals and competitions: Kiyashko O. won the Grand Prix, took I, and II place in the Readers Contest of L. Ukrainka (2003-2005), Lyaturynskyy A. won the Grand Prix at the Republican Reader’s Festival “Student Wave”, Mashenko K. and N. Lech took II place in the “dramatic art” category in the same competition, Vashenkova G. took III place in the Republican Reader’s Contest in Lviv. The course graduates work in Kyiv on Television and in theaters in Zaporizhia.

Is invited to participate in scientific readings, art programs on TV, publishes articles in scientific and methodical collections.

Goncharov Victor M

 the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Senior Lecturer

Graduated from the Yaroslav Theatre School as the “Actor of Drama Theater” and Zaporizhia National University and received the qualification of the “Actor of Drama Theater and Cinema”.

Has been working as a leading scene master in zaporizhia Regional youth theater, and is now an actor of the “New Theater” in Zaporizhia.

Has been working as a senior lecturer of acting since 2000. Subjects being lectured: “Stage Movement”, “Stage Battle” and “Acting”.

Is an active participant of methodological conferences and seminars. Has written a methodological work one the discipline of “Stage Battle”.

Acts as a master of dramatic poetry reading of Pushkin, Shevchenko and L. Ukrainka.

Fortus Hennadiy V.

the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Senior Lecturer.

He graduated from the Kharkiv State Institute of Culture as a “Director of a Theater Group”.

Has been working as the leading artist in the Zaporizhia Regional Youth Theater since 1981, in 1996 he works as the artistic director of that theater. The prizewinner of I. Patorzhynskyi award, the regional award for his “Achievements in the Development of Culture in Zaporizhia”, the Festival Award “Good House”, the “Sicheclavna” Festival award winner, the Ukrainian TYG Festival award winner in Donetsk. He has received an MCU Honorary Award for “Achievements in the Development of Arts and Culture”.

Has been working as a senior lecturer of acting in ZNU. His graduates work on various TV and radio stations.

Frigan Lyubov I

the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Senior Lecturer

Graduated from the Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Arts of Karpenko Kary as an “Actress of Drama Theater and Cinema”. Works as a leading scene master in Zaporizhia Youth Theater. The winner of the highest theatrical award in the Dnieper region “Sicheslavna” in the category “Best Female Lead”, the winner of III, V, VI International Festivals “Good Theater” for the best female role, II and IV regional competitions the “Mistress of her Land” in the category “Woman – the employee of culture and art”, the winner of the National Union of Actors of Ukraine of Zankovetska in 1998.

Has been working as a Senior Lecturer of acting since 2001.

Was awarded the diploma of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine for her hard work and productive results in teaching. Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.


Беркова-Berkova-Zhytomyrska Lyubov G.

 Senior Lecturer

Graduated from Zaporizhia State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in Music. Has been working as a Professor of Vocals since 1978. She has worked as an actress-singer in the Palace of Culture “Zhovtnevyi” (current PC “DSS”), of Zaporizhia Region Philharmonics. Is a jury-member and co-founder of various festivals and competitions; the Artistic Director of the Vocal Art Festival “Meet the Romance Again”.

The winner of the International Festival of Ukrainian song “Zoloti Trembity” (1992), the National Festival of Cossack song "Khortytsya - 93", the Prize of I.Patorzhynskiy of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (2001).

Has recorded a CD featuring Alexander Vishnevsky (Moscow) – “To meet the Romance Again” (2001).

Has been working as a Senior lecturer at the Department of Acting since 2000. Holds classes in “Vocals”, “Vocal Ensemble”. Her students take part in concerts celebrating outstanding date of various levels.

The Master of Pedagogics.

Has monitored students in the I and II Intercollegiate Festivals – the contests of actors and singers, the vocal competition “Romance Debut”, the regional arts festival of national cultures “Azov inter-folk” (2011), “We are Ukrainian”.

The Jury Member in vocal arts competitions in Zaporizhia.

Participates in various artistic activities of the University as a soloist-vocalist. The creative project the “Benefit of Love” celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2012.

Was awarded the Diploma of the Ministry of culture of Ukraine for her outstanding achievements in the development of vocal arts and the Diploma of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. . Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.


Petryk Tetiana D.

Teacher

She has graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Arts with a degree of an “Actress of Drama Theater and Cinema”.

She has been working as an actress of the highest category in Zaporizhia Music and Drama Theater of Magara in 1986-2002.

Was awarded the “Actress of the Year”, the host of the International Festival of National Cultures “We – are Ukrainian”.

She’s been working as a Lecturer of Acting since 2003. Holds classes in “Acting” and “Scene it”.

Currently doing her postgraduate studies in ZNU at the Correspondence Department.

Has been organizing regional readers competitions among students and creative youth since 2010.

Supervises students in national and regional competitions of recitation.

Held a workshop on “Stage Speech” (2010).

Participates in scientific conferences of ZNU, has scientific and methodological publications.

Was awarded the Diploma of the Ministry of Ukraine for her outstanding achievements and hard work. Received the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.

 

Sokolovskaya Natalia P.

the Honored Artist of Ukaraine, Teacher

Graduated from the Kyiv Theatrical Institute of Karpenko Kary with a diploma of a “Theatricologist”, received the qualification of “Theatricals Organizer”.

Has worked as a leading actress in Zaporizhia Puppet Theater since 1976; has been the artistic director of the theater since 2007-2013.

Has been teaching training disciplines within the “Wire-Puller” specialty since 2006.

Received the “Honored Artist of Ukraine” title in 2012.

Participates in art programs on TV channels “Zaporozhye” and “Alex”.

Was awarded the Mark of the USSR Ministry for “Excellent Work” (1989), the Diploma of Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the regional prize for the “Development of the Culture in Zaporizhia Region” and received the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.

 

Kvetkov Mikola M.

Teacher

Graduated from the Zaporizhia Engineering Academy and worked as a heating engineer in OPTS. Graduated from Odessa State music Academy of A.V. Nevzhdanovoi with a diploma in “Solo Signing” in 2005. Received the qualifications of the concert opera singer and the teacher of vocals.

Has been working as a soloist singer in Zaporizhia Regional Philharmonics since 2005. Has been working as a Teacher of Vocals at the department of Acting since 2006.

Completed his postgraduate studies from Melitopol State pedagogical university of Boghdan Khmelnytsky with a diploma in the “Theory and History of Culture”.

Participates in Ukrainina scientific reading conference, presents his articles on the methods of teaching vocals on various regional conferences.

Supervises students in vocal competitions, holds workshops for students, teachers and leaders of creative troupes.

The Jury Member of the regional competition of the folk song “Slavic Stars” in Zaporizhia.

Participates in ZNU concerts for students and teachers as a soloist singer, in art programs on TV channels “Zaporozhye”, “Alex” and “TV-5”.

Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.


Ermakova Olga A.

 – Senior Lecturer

Graduated from the State Conservatory of M. Glinka and received the qualifications of a “Piano Teacher, Accompanist and Soloist of Chamber Ensemble”.

Has been working as an artist in Zaporizhia Regional Music and Drama Theater of V. Magara since 1996.

Has become a Senior Lecturer of Acting in 2000. Has been holding the position of the Deputy Head of the Department of Acting since 2002 – 2013. 

Graduated from the School of Cultural Management CACM (Odessa) under the auspices of the Educational Center of Management of Culture of the University of Basel (Switzerland). Defended her project and received the qualification in “Cultural Management”.

Published a Textbook on choreography with her musical applications classified MES in 2012. Participates in concerts and performances in Music and Drama Theater of V. Magara. Stands in educational and social activities that take place at the Faculty.

Was awarded Diplomas of the Ministry of education and Science of Ukraine; the Diploma of Zaporizhia Regional Administration of Culture and Tourism for her professionalism, hard work and the promotion of Ukrainian musical culture (2011).

Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.

 

Kulinich Olena V.

Accompanist

Graduated from Zaporizhia state Music College of P. Maiboroda with a specialty in “Music Arts” and received the qualification of the “piano teacher, accompanist and ensemble artist” in 2005.

Has been working as an accompanist at the department of Acting since 2009.

Received a Master’s Degree in Tourism in 2010. At the same time she was working in Zaporizhia Children’s Music school # 1.

She is actively engaged in performing work – with students, as an accompanist in various concerts, competitions, festivals and performances (e.g., musical and theatrical performance “The War does not have a Female Face”, dedicated to the Victory Day (2013), student music play “Russian Secret”).

Received diplomas for her active participation in inter-university competitions and festivals for actors and singers in 2011 and 2012.

Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.

 

Chernenko Tetiana F.

Accompanist

Graduated from Donetsk State Musical and Pedagogical Institute, with specialization in “Choir Director and Music Teacher of Music and Choral Disciplines”.

Has been holding courses in “Conducting”, “Vocal and Choral Music” at the Pedagogical Faculty of Zaporizhia State Pedagogical University since 1975.

Has been appointed as the Head of the Vocal Assembly of Teachers of the Gymnasium # 25 since 1993; chef d’orchestre of the Novoapostoskyi choir,

The lecturer of sociocultural theory and methods of ZSU since 2000. Has been working as a teacher and an accompanist at the Department of Acting since 2004.

The winner of the regional Assembly of Choral Festivals.

Is in charge of managing the funds if the ZNU Library, the scientific and methodological literature on courses being lectured in the Department of Acting.

Is in charge of the content on the website of the Acting Department.

Participates in vocational work and “Education Fair”.

Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.

 

Kryukov Yuriy A,

Accompanist

Graduated from the Kharkov State University of I. Kotkyarevskogo with a specialty in “Music Arts” (specialization in “Music and Variety Arts”) and received the qualification of a “Music Teacher, Soloist (artist) of an Orchestra (Ensemble) ”.

Has worked in Zaporizhia Music School # 1 since 1991. He participated as an accompanist in regional and city competitions for music school students. Was awarded a diploma for participating in the Republican Contest for Young Performers in January 1999. Received gratitude from the school management for his fruitful performing activities.

Worked as a piano teacher and an accompanist at the Classical Lyceum in Zaporizhia National University.

Has been working as an accompanist at the Department of Acting in Zaporizhia National University since 2010.

Takes an active stand and participates in various performing activities. Participated in the production of the child Mykola Lysenko’s opera “Koza-Dereza” in January 2011. Was awarded a diploma for participating in the First Republican Interuniversity competition for actors-singers in March 2011.

Was awarded diplomas and certificates for participating in regional, local vocal and instrumental competitions and festivals.

Was awarded the Certificate of Merit of ZNU on the occasion of Faculty’s 20th anniversary.


Bondareva Kristina I.

 

Art Director of Educational Theater

Graduated from Zaporizhia national University with a diploma in “Actor of Music-Drama Theater and Cinema” (Course Director: People’s Artist of Ukraine, Professor Korol O.P). Received a scholarship from Mayor for her hard work during the university years; was awarded diplomas by Zaporizhia Regional Administration, City Council and Administration.

Won the Grand Prix at the International Festival “ Heart to Heart” Balatonfüred. The same year she was invited as a Head Director of the International Festival “Golden Autumn” in Budapest (Hungary). The Organizer of the regional festival for orphans and children deprived of parent love “World of Childhood - 2008”.

Won first place in the competition among professional readers of Lesya Ukrainka in 2008 (Yalta).

Received her Master’s Degree in Pedagogics in 2010. Worked as a practitioner in the Cultural and methodological center of Zaporizhia City Council. Worked as a leading specialist in the cultural and methodological center of Zaporizhia Regional Council since 2011.

Has been working as an Artistic Director of the Department of theatrical Arts in Zaporizhia National University since 2012.


Prokopenko Hennadyi V.

Soundman

Graduated from Zaporozhye Music School of P. Maibirida from the Department of Folk Instruments, and received the qualification of “Teacher of Accordion, Head of the Folk Instruments Ensemble” in 1984.

Has worked in Zaporizhia Music School # 3 as a teacher of an ensemble of accordionists since 1992. Was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the city administration for his productive work with students. Has been working as a music arranger on “Nostalgie” radio from 1992-1994. The music arranger on the radio “Europe Plus” from 1994-1997.

The music arranger in the radio “Universe” of Zaporizhia National University since 1997. The Director of Audiography at the Department of Acting in Zaporizhia National University since 2013.
